And I’m back on schedule with this little experiment. This week’s was by far the easiest, but also my favorite so far I think. Introducing….
- Pop 1/2 cup of popcorn kernels
- Pour on lots of caramel sauce (like the syrup you put on ice-cream…nothing fancy)
- Crush up about a cup of pretzels and mix into gooey popcorn
- Toss in 1/3 cup mini chocolate chips and mix
It was a delicious combination of salty and sweet and gooey and crunchy. We dug into it as soon as it was done so the caramel was still super wet, but even if it doesn’t dry, the soft texture of the popcorn (softened even more by the caramel sauce) and the crunchiness of the pretzels was really good. Got the house stamp of approval again. Given my track record so far, I was a little nervous. (Kidding).
