It’s the end of the world as we know it

ImageI’m a big fan of New Year’s resolutions because I believe in setting goals and trying to better yourself. But I also know that trying to achieve specific things and change too much often results in failure. This year I didn’t want to set specific goals for myself, but rather tried to think of ways I wish I lived my life differently. Here’s what I came up with:

  • People come first
  • Don’t sweat the small things
  • Don’t be afraid to be selfish, but always try to be selfless
  • Save time for exercise because it makes you happy and healthy, not because you need to lose weight
  • Eat real food
  • Nourish your body, mind, and soul
  • Take the time to read for fun
  • Life is too short to be stressed
  • Always say yes to adventure
  • Love others, love yourself, and always love deeply

So go kiss someone you love at midnight and, even if it is just one thing, try to make a change tomorrow. Happy New Year.
